What do you think will be the next great technology breakthrough?

This could be a technology that is already been researched or one that has never been heard of. Can it be used in hospitals? Some people think cloning is the next breakthrough. Do you have any links to support your thoughts?What do you think will be the next great technology breakthrough?
I think the next big breaktrough will be be in either medicine or semiconductors....



Both are well funded, like a decade ago we didn't have cat scans etc. but theres enough money going into health it's a top candidate, I'm sure it would be ing diagnosing equipment or perhaps through chemistry finding working anti-virals etc.



Semiconductors are about to hit a wall, or the industry analists say that anyway, two years a go they supposely were about to hit a wall on how small they could make them but, within a few months that was broken. This is the fiels that creates those super microchips, they've made cpu screens that look like a plastic sheet that you can roll up, etc. and it's the foundation that basiacally every electronic device is made from.What do you think will be the next great technology breakthrough?
I think that the best new tech has to do with micro chips.These small computers are a great way to keep track of things!



Another new idea is a car powered by compressed air . If you saw the short series Futurecar on discovery you know what I am talking about.
