I've heard alot of different names - autotune, pro-tools and vocoders. I'm not entirely sure what the difference is between them or if they even is one but what I do know is that they are all used to enhance voices.What is it called when they use technology to enhance your voice?
These people always record multiple tracks of their voice, to make it sound fuller. They also "compress" their voice with a compression tool. This makes the voice sound less like a live voice and more like an electronic instrument. They also use very expensive autotune software to ensure that every note is correct.

But I'm not sure if it's out yet or even being sold to the public.
It's called auto-tune. But I don't recomend using it at all! This device takes away any real emotion and soul. Horrible singers like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift use autotune to make themselves sound better.
