How do you feel about how the technology has taken over us today?

What do you think of todays technology and computers? What do u think of the influence of technology of people today? Do you think its right to have computers do work for us and these developing robot machines be built? Is there a famous quote or metaphor that explains how technology is over taken us? Like how we are always playing games, on facebook, on our cellphones etc...How do you feel about how the technology has taken over us today?
I work in Computers....I think it is overated. People walk around with thieir heads down self absorbed in their Blackberries cell phones and wat not. Nobody looks at each other anymore...well maybe on Skype.
Agree 100%, took away job's with the machines in the 70's. Tech was used in the 60's by large Company's. Think of the first flights to space. 70's ATT had computers that filled warehouse size to use. It was known that someday everyone would have a computer %26amp; some day see %26amp; talk to each other over it. Most computer %26amp; phone text is a waste of time. Parents buying grade school kids to have a cell phones, over 18 is supposed to be facebook, but I know of 8 %26amp; 9 yr old having acct's %26amp; putting pictures on there %26amp; myspace that an adult shouldn't even do or see. Parent's to busy w/ life to know or ck on them to see many have an open acct. Kids being so lonely now they are meeting %26amp; running away with offender's. Have no concept of danger!! Bullies using phone %26amp; computer to hurt others. So many people have lost job's because of use of Co Computer w/ what they use it for. Car accidents of death %26amp; injury. I also think kids are not learning to communicate with people or know whats it like to go outside %26amp; have fun, Adults are just as badHow do you feel about how the technology has taken over us today?
today everybody has a personal computer, tommorow everybody will have a companion robot, eventually intelligent thinking machines will emerge....





then it will either be a golden age of cooperation between man and machines or our most useful servants will become our most powerful masters
Technology defiantly has changed the way we live, but I'd say the majority of the change is positive.How do you feel about how the technology has taken over us today?
Technology is destroying us, abolish it.
It makes everything convenient, but I just know it will all come back to bite us in the azz one day!
