What way has technology improved the way an army medic controls the airway of a casualty?

I am doing a research paper and need an example i can research about. I already have one which is the KING LT. I need relativley new technology (present to 5 years ago). What way has technology improved the way an army medic controls the airway of a casualty?
There is the LMA. But you can only put than it an unconscious person. If they are breathing on their own it will keep the airway open. If they are not breathing on their own you will have to bag them. If you have more than one or two casualties, you will have to triage and let this one go.What way has technology improved the way an army medic controls the airway of a casualty?
Nothing fancy or new, just a Nasal Pharyngeal Airway. Or simple methods like the head-tilt chin lift method to keep a casualty from choking on his tongue.
