What is a very good fiction book about technology and society?

So for my grad class in instructional technology we have to read a book about technology and society. What do you recommend. I've already read 1984 and Brave New World...What is a very good fiction book about technology and society?
It's considered young adult fiction, but M. T. Anderson's _Feed_ supplies lots of good fodder for discussion of the internet, search engines, information/networking overload, and so on, as well how increasingly computerized spending affects our role/value as consumers. It also alludes to environmental collapse.

I recommend reading the Amazon description to see if it might work for you. What is a very good fiction book about technology and society?
Yeah, Feed is a good one. The Uglies series isn't as good, but it does have highly advanced society and alludes to if it's possible to create a utopia society.
