What is the cultural component of technology in France?

I'm doing a sociology project on the five components of culture in a country and my county is France. One of the components is technology (knowledge and tools people use for practical purposes). I can't find anything on this. Anyone know? What is the cultural component of technology in France?
People use the same tools as in the US.

As for cultural component, France is a country of engineers, we build things. Look at the TGV and railwork, for exemple. We are taught Cartesian logic at school, even in French (we learn to write logically, no intuitively).

I'm not sure I understood your question but I tried
