Alright am going to start singing %26amp; i already baught the shure PG58 LC cardioid dynamic microphone... i just dont know what to buy so i can plug it into my computer am not good with technology... i need to stay under 50 or 100 becouse really i dont wanna buy any speakers i just wanna know if there are cables to connect the picrophone to my pc ? Most sound cards have an input, you just need to check what size the jack is on your computer. There are two common sizes - 1/8 inch "mini" jacks, and 1/4 inch "phono" jacks. There are very cheap adapters available. Vafam Sound on ebay is a great source for cables - good quality for cheap.
The adapter you will need will be an XLR-female to mini TRS with a 6' cable. If the computer does have a phono jack, then just get a mini to phono adapter (about $3).
Total cost to get it into your computer; about $15 plus shipping.
You would have enough left over to get a cheap mixer, like a little 2 channel soundcraft or something.
